JavaScript

JavaScript is a scripting language, a small programming language for managable programming tasks. With JavaScript, webpages can be made more dynamic. Functions programmed with JavaScript are able to change contents, adapt the appearance and check user inputs.

Do not mix up JavaScript and Java because in regard to the function scale and the application areas these are elementary different programming languages.
