30.01: Simplessus relaunched
The independent software vendor Simplessus is focusing more and more on Software as a Service and relaunched their website accordingly.
Due to the increasing demand for leased software from international customers the content of the web-site has been restructured, translated and expanded to accommodate the interests of the visitors.
The web-site style should convey the message that Simplessus is developing web-based software products on the highest level. Technically, all products have been migrated to a new software engine since the beginning of the year, so that all products from Simplessus will offer the same comfortable usability as desktop applications.
In addition, the customers will have better organizational support. Shortly, the help-center portal will launch where customers will find all product manuals and FAQs online in the future. Similarly, the new customer center will be available in a few days where customers can order new software, software modules or license upgrades. Digitally signed invoices complete this fully online based distribution model.
Technical enhancements will be available in the area of workflow management. Thanks to a new graphically-based, integrated process modeling tool this has been much simplified. The modeling notation for business processes "BPMN" is used as reference. As a result, customers or IT consultants who are familiar with business process diagrams will be able to work with the system quickly.
The logical consequence is the expansion of the partner program for value added resellers. With the new software engine IT consultants and IT consulting firms are able to implement Simplessus’ products for customers independently and customize them without programming.
